Alex Trebek, I’ll Take Bitter Sweet for $200

5 May

Alex Trebek – Bitter sweet feelings of a loving past?

Me – What is packing for a move.

Alex Trebek – Correct!

As I pull open another drawer to a desk, push another box to the side, I find another piece of my  sweet past life (a hand written note from my mother, hand made gifts/cards from my children, their baby teeth with notes to the tooth fairy) that had faded into a very comfortable place where loving memories live… Only to be unearthed by the necessity of a move.

Day to day, week to week turns into a whole life time ago.

Yesterday has gone by at warped speed…(time’s) speed and velocity has been in disguise…

…Only today doesn’t seem to go any faster than yesterday did, hmmm.

Found this sweet poem as I was emptying my daughter’s bedroom desk.

AND…Given I am starting off on a new journey, hitting the reset button to life, I thought I would share some…

…Wise Words To Live By:

Sow Only Seeds of Love

You can start a new journey with your very next breath

So many roads you can take, you determine the path.

The time to change if you need is now.

Keeping in touch with your soul will teach you how

You’re the one who decides on the life you live.

You have such a big heart and so much to give.

Think of the love in the world you can spread,

By saying kind words that need to be said.

The gifts you can give are inside your heart,

With so man hurting people it’s a good time to start.

Look for the best in everyone.

Let all your intentions be genuine.

There’s such untold beauty inside of you.

Who are you planning on showing it to?

Open it up to everyone.

Take that next breath.

Your new journey’s begun.

Your House!

Dear Readers,

A college friend shared the below proverb on Facebook. I thought it was spot on and I needed to share it with you! It spoke directly to my thoughts on living in harmony. Please know living in peace and harmony is always a work in progress, it’s a journey not an event. It is our daily assignment.

So with that said….

Please read it a couple of times, it truly gets even more powerful the second time around.

Enjoy….

There is an Indian proverb that says

that everyone is a house with four rooms.
A physical, an emotional, a mental and a spiritual.
Most of us tend to live in one room most of
the time, but unless we go into every room
every day, even if only to keep it aired,
we are not a complete person.

Asklotta and staff will MIND YOUR BUSINESS today ensuring every room in my house is well lived in.

Again, it has been my pleasure to tell you what to do and what NOT to do!

Kindest regards,

“Pride, My Name is Pride” Poem by Beth Moore

4 Jan
Dear Readers,

Between Christmas and New Year’s, my silent investor and I spent a little time in Dallas visiting friends. In the morning (my favorite time of the day) we were all standing/sitting in their very beautiful kitchen (still) in pajamas, drinking coffee and talking about the up’s and down’s of our collective lives over the years.

We talked about friends that have remained friends, new friends, past friends, politics (proof we are all friends), movies, books etc. So another words we talked about life and was in that beautiful kitchen for at least a couple of hours! Life is good, it just does not get any sweeter!

We started sharing our favorite inspirations that keep us going and on track. To keep us mindful of the larger picture, to keep us humble, self-correcting and appreciative and hence filled with love and happiness. I thought it was interesting we all carried around something positive and  inspirational to pull-out on “those days” or at “those moments.”

Below is what a friend shared that morning. It is inspirational and very worthy of sharing with all of you, regardless of what you’re wearing or what you’re drinking at this given moment! Personally I think the word “Pride” can be swapped out for “Ego” But its up to you to decide.

Enjoy!

Pride – “My Name is Pride” poem by

Beth Moore

My name is Pride. I am a cheater.
I cheat you of your God-given destiny…
because you demand your own way.
I cheat you of contentment…
because you “deserve better than this.”
I cheat you of knowledge…
because you already know it all.
I cheat you of healing…
because you are too full of you to forgive.
I cheat you of holiness…
because you refuse to admit when you are wrong.
I cheat you of vision…
because you’d rather look in the mirror than out a
window.
I cheat you of genuine friendship…
because nobody’s going to know the real you.
I cheat you of love…
    because real romance demands sacrifice.
I cheat you of greatness in heaven…
because you refuse to wash another’s feet on earth.
I cheat you of God’s glory…
because I convinced you to seek your own.
My name is Pride. I am a cheater.
You like me because you think I’m always looking out
for you.
Untrue.
I’m looking to make a fool of you.
God has so much for you, I admit, but don’t worry…
If you stick with me you’ll never know.

Asklotta and staff will MIND YOUR BUSINESS today happy for my friendships and appreciative of everything they have brought to my life!

Again, it has been my pleasure to tell you what to do and what NOT to do!

Kindest regards,
