Barf…Our Choices…Gag…Dry Heave!

8 Nov
Dear Readers,

When I sat down to write this yesterday feeling somewhat like (the day-after hangover) with the presidential election behind us and all I could think of was, I am really really pissed. I am tired of my pounding headache from drinking too much politics. Living in Ohio it felt like a political poisoning!  Our political process is intoxicating and toxic voiding any sense of good or hope. Our phone never stopped ringing from both political parties spouting off something while being inundated with political T.V. slander commercials.
And this is the part that really gets my feathers flapping…Our only choices in this past election was to either pick Financial Socialism while securing gays rights and health care for women, protecting their choices. Or Financial strength with job creations as a priority but yet needing to live in the T.V. series “Mad Men” as if it was 1950’s again with the “little woman” at home contemplating her back alley coat hanger abortion while her best friend is stuck in a closet!
Furthermore if I see one more damn posting on Facebook with “now is the time to come together” I think I will lose my cookies! It is NOT time to come together! It is not time to abandoning any thoughts of creating a stronger economy, it is not time to accept the trickle down theory for it does not work in creating a stronger more stable economy, it does not create jobs! But It is time to reflect and it is time to get to work in a thoughtful mindful way!
Both political parties need to throw out the arrogance and stupidity which both parties displayed brilliantly over the last several months and now they have to come together and do right for all Americans! We should not have to choose between a stronger economy and equals rights for all Americans, period end of subject!
I am sadden and extremely disappointed there was not a right choice…Our only choice was what party/President did we fear less and which party/President would do less harm in four years than the other….
…That to me that is not hopeful or anything to celebrate (the lesser of two evil choice).
Asklotta and staff will MIND YOUR BUSINESS today asking “not what my country can do for me but what I can do for my country.”
Again, it has been my pleasure to tell you what to do and what NOT to do!
Kindest regards,
President and CEO

If the Republicans put up another rich, white dude in 4 years, the Dems could run Pee Wee Herman against him and still win. That whole thing was quite predictable.

I know, I know! But you have to get real. No one and I mean no one could even run for president if they didn’t have a boat load of money these days. And huge deals with the devil. You need deep pockets and deep promises to have a political party back you. Now with all that said, YOU ARE CORRECT…The republicans with the religious right pulling all the strings will never have an opportunity to ruin the country! That will have to be left up to the Democrats!

Going to say this, real solutions come from real people in real life. Being in my field I hear all the time “I have the answers” from people who have not lived and just are into theory. It is funny as I always some snot-nosed just out of college graduate who just got hired tell me about my job and how to do it. Amazing as they are into theory and such and when they have problems (they created them with their head based in theory) they want me to bail them out as I always say “Keeping it real”

Here in California about an hour from me (not my district) we had a 25-year-old who just got out of law school run for U.S. Congress (He lost), but the point is that he has never been in the real world. He kept on saying he understood the problems and such… But he never had a real job, not even at the mall.

Most of who have been in the real world know it takes a combination of things to get things done. This dogma of one way or another way is just so wrong and we need to stop this thinking.

I agree! Sadly the 25 yr. old represents so much disfunction in our collective generation of parents. We have raised children the world owes them a living, they are perfect and you don’t have to work for success. That 25 yr. old did what so many of his generation is doing….Graduating and expecting to be hired as the president of the corporation. They think they have all the answers because fairly their parents/schools/sports have led them to believe that their whole lives. It really would be funny except this I fear is part of the mess America is in!..Once again Patrick, thanks for your thoughtful comments!
